About Us
About Us
Meet the Mental Health OT & Social Work team in Brisbane
We believe mental health care should focus on more than symptom management alone.
Meaningful support involves helping people function, participate, and build lives that feel sustainable, manageable, and meaningful.
When people are struggling, the impact is often felt across many areas of everyday life including relationships, work, study, self-care, and community participation. People can be left feeling a loss of identity and confidence and a decrease in motivation.
At With Purpose Mental Health, we recognise that recovery looks different for everyone. We take the time to understand each person’s unique experiences, strengths, challenges, environment, and daily life, recognising that all these factors can influence mental health and wellbeing.
Our work is grounded in the understanding that people are more likely to thrive when they have the right support, opportunities, environments, and understanding around them.
Our goal is to help people create lives that feel more manageable, meaningful, and sustainable over time.
Our approach
Our work is practical, person-centred, and recovery-oriented.
We focus on helping people navigate everyday life in ways that feel meaningful, manageable, and sustainable.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- daily routines and structure
- emotion regulation
- executive functioning
- social connection and relationships
- confidence and identity
- sensory and nervous system regulation
- community participation
- work and study capacity
- independent living skills
- sustainable wellbeing
We recognise that mental health recovery is rarely linear, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
We take the time to understand each person’s strengths, barriers, goals, and lived experience.
Our clinicians use evidence-based and recovery-oriented approaches tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, strengths, and circumstances.
Our clinicians draw from evidence-based approaches including trauma-informed practice, sensory modulation, CBT, ACT, DBT-informed strategies, motivational interviewing, and recovery-oriented care.
Above all, we aim to provide support that is person-centred, respectful, and grounded in meaningful everyday life.
